Despite the rain, Emory’s 3rd Annual Camp & Learning Expo delivered. Employees came with rain jackets on and umbrellas in hand to visit with the over 75 camps and learning programs from all over metro Atlanta. The event was filled with fun. Circus Camp promoted its programs by circling crowds on a unicycle and Fernbank introduced some of its friendly reptiles and spiders to guests as they approached. Many programs offered discounts and hoped to hire a few camp counselors for the summer. Raffle prizes were again well received including grand prize winners of a gift certificate to Rathbun’s Restaurant, a spa gift card and several gas cards. Many of the programs also donated raffle prizes including free sessions of camp, gourmet dinners, free tickets and goody bags to name a few. There were several new programs at the expo this year, including two new Emory camps: Chef Tech Academy and Oak Tree Camp.
For those of you that missed the expo and are interested in learning more about the programs that participated this year we have compiled a list for you. We hope to see you next year!
